"Girls on the line" was a quick read, intense, with two points of view from the main characters. It is extremely interesting to read about Chinese culture and the girls' experience working in the factories, as well as learning about the One-Child law and how the fines can impact children and families. This book is a page turner, and while you can try to figure out what happens next, you will sometimes be taken off guard by the unexpected. Definitely recommend! Leave a Reply. |
